Wood Planks For Cart Traffic On Golf Courses
Wood planks make an excellent choice for cart traffic on golf courses for their sturdiness, affordability and aesthetic appeal. It is well known that wood planks are durable and resistant to wear and tear. As carts drive over the planks, they are less likely to break or show signs of wear in comparison to other materials. Wood planks also provide a natural look to the course that most golfers prefer. In addition to their look, they are also much more affordable than other materials like concrete. When concrete is installed, it requires a lot of preparation and usually an excavation of the ground to ensure that it is level and the right depth. On the other hand, wood planks can easily be cut to whatever size needed and are much less expensive to purchase than concrete. Aside from the economic considerations, wood planks can also provide some environmental benefits. Having them installed as opposed to concrete also reduces noise pollution by collecting and dispersing the sound from cart traffic. As carts drive over the planks, the sound is dispersed, creating less of a nuisance for the golfers and their surrounding area. Finally, wood planks offer good traction for golf carts and can be treated for resistance to weathering. This makes them well-suited for outdoor use and ensures that they will remain strong and durable over time. In conclusion, wood planks make an excellent choice for cart traffic on golf courses. Their sturdiness, affordability, aesthetic appeal and environmental benefits make them an ideal choice for golf courses. With these advantages, it is easy to see why many golf courses are choosing to install wood planks for their cart traffic.
