Us Army Orsa Course

The US Army Officer Strength Accounting (ORSA) Course is designed to prepare officers to be knowledgeable of the officer strength accounting systems and procedures that are used to accurately and effectively manage the structure, strength, and status of the Army's officer force. It includes information on the systems and processes used to monitor and report officer strength levels. This course also provides an introduction to general personnel and strength reporting concepts, and provides officers with greater proficiency in their role as an Army leader and staff officer. The course is broken down into three separate modules that cover: Introduction to Personnel and Strength Accounting (PSA); Officer Strength Requirements and Procedures; and Advanced Officer Strength Accounting Concepts. The PSA module introduces the basic concepts of personnel/strength accounting, including the types of resource documents and accounts used to maintain an accurate officer personnel and strength. The Officer Strength Requirements and Procedures module provides an overview on the procedures and regulations that govern officer strength management. Lastly, the Advanced Officer Strength Accounting Concepts module provides a detailed analysis of the concepts and procedures used to account for officer strength. At the end of this course, officers will be able to effectively interpret and apply regulations related to officer personnel and strength, interpret and apply the rules and guidelines of the Officer Strength Accounting System, and generate and interpret Officer Strength reports. With the successful completion of this course, officers can become more proficient in their role as an Army leader and staff officer.
