Ottone Cesario Gallarate Courses
Ottone Cesario Gallarate (born 17 June 1927) is an Italian painter and graphic artist. He was born in Milan and trained at L’Accademia di Brera in Milan where he studied with painters Alberto Savinio, Felice Casorati and Mario Sironi. Gallarate has been active in Milan and in the surrounding area since his studies. His works have been exhibited in the most notable art galleries in Italy, such as the Galleria d’Arte Moderna of Milan and the Palazzo Reale of Milan. He has also shown his works at several international exhibitions such as the Biennale di Venezia and the Quadriennale of Rome. Gallarate’s art paints a picture of a bright and luminous world, founded on the stylistic forms of Cubism, Expressionism and Futurism. His paintings, particularly those illustrating villages, farmers, circus and music-hall scenes, paint a vivid descriptive panoramic of rural Italy. His lively compositions and bold graphic style create a vivid and lively portrait of a traditional and classic Italy. Throughout his career, Gallarate has received numerous awards such as the Premio La Spezia, the Milo Pittori di Milano, the Premio Pesaro, the Grand Prix Moscow and the Grand Prix Tokyo. In recognition of his significant artistic contributions, Gallarate was also awarded the prestigious title of Cavaliere del Lavoro by the Italian Republic, a distinction that was given only to Italian citizens who have made noteworthy public service contributions in their field.
