Olgerdas Trakimas Courses

Olgerdas Trakimas is a Lithuanian professional basketball player who plays for Fenerbahce Beko of the Turkish Basketball Super League (BSL). He was born on August 8, 1991 in Silute, Lithuania. Trakimas began his professional basketball career with his hometown team Silute in the Lithuanian second division in 2010. After two seasons he moved to Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius where he stayed until the end of the 2013–14 season when he was released for medical reasons. He signed with Žalgiris Kaunas for the 2014–15 season where he played for three years and won the Lithuanian championship three times and the Baltic League twice. For the 2017–18 season he signed with Fenerbahce Beko and since then has won two Turkish League championships and one Turkish Cup. Trakimas is a versatile player who can play both the forward and guard positions. He’s known for his jump shooting ability and is often a threat from beyond the arc. He is also a strong presence in the paint on both ends of the court as he can block shots and also finish plays around the rim. He can also handle the ball, as well as being a very good team defender. Trakimas has represented Lithuania at the international level, and was a member of the Lithuanian gold medal-winning team at the 2019 FIBA World Cup.
