The two NAPLAN practice tests are intended to prepare you for NAPLAN Year 9 test, boost your confidence and results. It will help you understand what you do well already and what you need to improve for NAPLAN success. Detailed solutions are provided for all questions to help you understand how to solve the problems and then apply this knowledge in similar problems, so you are test-ready.

The set contains two complete comprehensive practice tests of 48 questions each, designed to cover key areas of mathematics including algebra, geometry, data and chance, measurements, fractions, decimals and percentages, angles, perimeter, area, volume, and financial maths. A detailed solution is provided for each question to boost your long-term learning.

As NAPLAN is fully online since 2021, the tests are tailored to the new test specifics. This includes varied difficulty adjusted to your skill level. The first test is at a standard level of difficulty and the second one is at an intermediate level. it is recommended to start with the standard test first (Test 1) and work your way to the next level. In the future, a third, advanced level, will be added.

Importantly, I hope that this practice will reduce your stress and anxiety on the test day, and will increase your confidence and performance.

Remember that practice makes perfect and the only way to improve your skills is to solve more problems. As your responses will be evaluated automatically,  this will help you evaluate your performance at the end of each test. The test specifies 50% pass mark, however, there is no pass mark in the real NAPLAN, so do not stress about it. You can repeat each test multiple times to polish your skills.
