Restuffing couch cushions is an easy, cost-effective way to breathe new life into an aging sofa or love seat. Whether you want to switch up your decor or bring a worn out piece back to its former glory, restuffing your couch cushions is a simple task. You can start by unzipping the couch cushion covers, if applicable. Then, you'll want to remove the foam, batting, and any other stuffing materials. Depending on the condition of the material, you may be able to save some or all of it and reuse it in your project. If the cushion material is old, worn, or damaged, it will probably need to be replaced. Next, measure the new cushion stuffing material and cut it to fit the dimensions of the cushion. Once the new cushions are sized correctly, you can fill them with the stuffing material of your choice. Most people opt for foam, but you could also use batting, down, pillows, or whatever else you can find that will provide comfortable support. When your cushions are filled, you can either leave them as is or cover them with a new fabric. If you opt for a new cover, be sure to buy enough to cover the original cushion and the newly stuffed one. When the covers are on and zipped, you'll have a refreshed couch in no time!
