Rallycross Classes Courses

Rallycross is a form of motorsport that involves drivers competing in cars on a closed dirt track that has both on-road and off-road elements. Rallycross races often feature a mix of jumps, tight corners and dirt roads, as well as mixed surfaces. Cars are generally broken up into classes based on the type of car being used and the modifications made to it. These classes usually include Supercar, Super 1600, 2WD, and Production. Supercar is the highest performance class, featuring cars that have been extensively modified and are very fast. The engine and chassis can be changed, and downforce-producing aerodynamics may be added. Super 1600 cars are less powerful than Supercars, and modifications are more limited. Exhaust and suspension changes are allowed, but the car must remain structurally the same. Two-Wheel-Drive (2WD) is a class that features cars that retain their original engine, but may have some modifications made to their suspension and wheels. This class is designed to be economical, and is the least expensive way to get involved in Rallycross. Finally, Production class is for cars that are completely stock, with no engine or suspension modifications at all. This class is great for new rallycross drivers, as it allows them to experience the sport without investing a lot of money in a more expensive, modified car.
