Pupuke Golf Course
Pupuke Golf Course is an 18 hole golf course located on the North Shore of Auckland, New Zealand. It is owned and operated by Auckland Council and is the oldest golf course on the North Island. The course was designed in 1923 by golf architect Bob Daemmrich and has remained largely unchanged since then. The course measures 6422 metres in length from the championship tees and 5511 from the women's tees. It has narrow tree lined fairways and steep slopes that can add challenge to even experienced golfers. Water comes into play often with two large ponds to guard the green of the par 5 5th Hole. The course features undulating terrain, small greens, and bunkers that provide a significant challenge and make it a favourite with the locals. The signature hole of the course is the Par 3 9th Hole known as the “High-dive Hole” due to the deep bunker that protects the green and the steep slopes. The course offers a range of services such as driving range and practice greens, as well as an on-site cafe and bar. The course also has a Pro-Shop for all your golfing needs. Pupuke Golf Course is a great choice for any golfer looking for a challenging round. The course's unique layout, tight fairways and old-school charm make it a varied and exciting round.
