Pti Course British Army

The PTI (Physical Training Instructor) Course is an intensive training programme facilitated by the British Army. It is aimed at providing PTIs with the specialist knowledge, skills and capabilities required to excel in planning and delivering physical activity, health and fitness initiatives to British Army personnel. The 14-week course is delivered at the Army Physical Training Centre in Aldershot, and is designed to provide a foundation for a successful career as a Physical Training Instructor. It is broken down into four training blocks, preparing PTI Trainees for the Army Positive Physical Training methods, physical training programmes, behaviour management and the planning of physical performance programmes. The PTI Course ensures that Trainees develop their practical and leadership skills, enabling them to make an effective contribution within their work roles. This includes leading physical training activities, undertaking PT assessments, designing physical training programmes and monitoring the health and safety aspects of physical training activities. Throughout the course, Trainees will learn how to deliver fun, safe and effective physical training activities in a variety of challenging environments, including the indoor training hall, field and the gym. PTI Trainees are assessed throughout the course and are expected to achieve the highest of standards upon completion.
