A Professional Nurse (also known as a Profesia Sestra) is a healthcare professional who provides direct healthcare services to individuals, families, and communities around the world. In addition to providing direct care, they are responsible for educating, counseling, and advocating for their patients and their families. They also collaborate with other health care professionals, such as physicians, nutritionists and therapists, in order to provide comprehensive care. Professional nurses are required to have a two- to four-year degree in nursing and must also complete a state of residence licensure exam. They may collaborate with doctors and other health professionals, develop and maintain communication systems with other members of the team, and coordinate patient care services.
