PPVC is an online course aimed at teaching Postgraduate Professionals the fundamentals of Pulmonary and Critical Care. The course is divided into four modules: basics of pulmonary and critical care, advance concepts and techniques, realistic patient scenarios, and patient scenarios with pulmonary pathology care. Each module builds upon the knowledge acquired in the others to provide comprehensive coverage of this important field. The basics of pulmonary and critical care module is designed to provide an overview of ventilation, oxygenation, and monitoring patients with respiratory distress. This module also covers fundamental skills such as airway management, pulmonary physiology, and the basics of critical care medicine. The advances concepts and techniques module provides an in-depth look at evidence-based treatments, medication that can be used to treat patients with pulmonary and critical care concerns, as well as diagnostic techniques and testing used to assess patients. The realistic patient scenarios module is used to practice the management and treatment of pulmonary and critical care patients in a variety of scenarios, using a range of evidence-based guidelines. The final module, patient scenarios with pulmonary pathology care is the most difficult. This module covers the management of acute, long-term, and chronic pulmonary and respiratory concerns, such as asthma, COPD, cystic fibrosis, and pulmonary edema.
