Powderhorn Course


Powderhorn Course is an 18-hole public golf course located in Grand Junction, Colorado. The course offers views of the Grand Mesa and Colorado National Monument, as well as challenging play on a par 72 course. Opened in 1987, Powderhorn has been providing a premier golf experience to golfers of all abilities. The layout of the course is a mix of open and more challenging holes. The signature hole is the par 3 10th, “The Rock”, which plays over a large rock formation. The back nine has narrow tree-lined fairways and fast, tricky greens. The course has a nearby practice facility with a grass driving range, putting and chipping greens, and several sand bunkers. Powderhorn has a full-service golf shop, offering top-of-the-line golf apparel and equipment. The pro shop also offers rental clubs, lessons, and tournaments. Most notably, the Powderhorn Senior Open has been held on the course for many years. The tournament brings golfers from around the country to Grand Junction for a weekend of competitive golf. Other tournaments have been held, including a Scramble for charity, Junior tournaments, and the Member-Guest tourney. Powderhorn Course is a great choice for golfers looking for a challenging yet fun round of golf.
