Pordata Classes Etárias or Age Groups is a classification system used by the Portuguese government to prioritize social service targeting and define most government strategies. The system splits the Portuguese population into five age groups, each reflecting different development, education, and employment needs. The youngest age group is referred to as “Crianças” (children) and is comprised of people aged 0-14.
