Polyamines Sources Courses
Polyamines are a class of small, naturally occurring molecules found in all living organisms. These molecules play key roles in cell growth, replication, differentiation, and gene regulation. Found in high concentrations in actively dividing cells, polyamines bind to DNA and regulate the transcription of certain genes. They are also involved in cellular signaling, altering cell processes and responses to stress, and in maintaining cell homeostasis. Sources of polyamines include dietary sources such as animal meats, fish, nuts and beans, and some plant sources, as well as supplements of putrescine, cadaverine, and spermidine. Polyamines can also be sourced from bacteria and fungi or synthesized from other molecules within the body. In addition, some food processing methods, particularly those involving fermentation, can increase the levels of polyamines present in foods. For example, soy sauce, miso, and fish sauce are rich sources of polyamines due to the fermentation process.

POLYAMINE - WIKIPEDIA
A polyamine is an organic compound having more than two amino groups. Alkyl polyamines occur naturally, but some are synthetic. Alkylpolyamines are colorless, hygroscopic, and water soluble. Near neutral pH, they exist as the ammonium derivatives. Most aromatic polyamines are crystalline solids at room temperature. ...
