Pojo Classes Courses
POJO stands for Plain Old Java Object. It is a Java object that doesn't extend any other classes or implement an interfaces and typically follow the JavaBean naming conventions for the field and methods name. POJO classes are used to represent the data that comes from external sources like web services, databases, etc. They have Getter and Setter methods to access and manipulate the instance fields. They are often used to convert the data from external sources into native Java objects that can be used by the application. POJOs are important mainly because they make the code clear, understandable, and maintainable. They allow a developer to focus on the behavior of the application instead of getting lost in the implementation details. In addition, the use of POJOs enables the application to remain independent of the external data source and the representation of the data. By fostering code reuse and separation of concerns, POJOs can make a codebase much easier to maintain. For this reason, they remain a cornerstone of modern software development.
