Pi Beta Phi New Member Courses

The Pi Beta Phi Fraternity is excited to offer its new members a comprehensive range of courses to ensure a successful and meaningful start to their membership. These courses cover everything from building a positive and lasting sense of belonging within the Fraternity to developing a deep understanding of the organization’s history, values, and goals. The New Member Course focuses on introducing new members to Pi Beta Phi’s essential values and customs, as well as important leadership skills. The course introduces the cornerstone of the Fraternity: values-based living, sisterhood, and philanthropy. It also prepares new members for participating in various opportunities, such as chapter meetings and programs, community service, and philanthropy. The Meaning of Sisterhood Course explores the sensitive topics of respect and diversity within the Fraternity, helping new members understand their vital role in creating a positive, inclusive culture that celebrates the successes and contributions of all members. The Pi Beta Phi Organizational Course teaches new members the history and key components of the Fraternity, including the mission, core values, and goals. Additionally, new members learn about the organization’s national operations, governance structure, and its long-standing traditions. The Pi Beta Phi Leadership Course focuses on developing core leadership skills that equip new members to contribute positively to the Fraternity and to their campus communities. This course contains interactive assignments and activities that allow new members to identify their personal strengths and weaknesses, and to evaluate the important roles that leadership plays in the success of the Fraternity. The Pi Beta Phi Philanthropy Course provides an opportunity for new members to learn about Pi Beta Phi’s philanthropic initiatives, both local and national.
