Pechakucha Courses
PechaKucha is a presentation style, created by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham of Klein Dytham Architecture in 2003, that has taken the world of presentations by storm. PechaKucha is a fast-paced, fun, and creative way to present an idea, even with limited time or resources. The format of PechaKucha is simple: presenters use 20 slides, for 20 seconds each. Typically, each slide consists of an image or graphic that conveys an idea or insight. The presenter then speaks for 20 seconds explaining what the slide is about, or adding further information or context. This timeframe helps to keep presentations short but powerful, and encourages creativity—presenters must choose what’s the most important information and make sure it can be communicated quickly. Since its inception in 2003, PechaKucha has become a popular tool among businesses, educators, and creatives. It is used to present ideas, show work, and give introductions to new projects. It helps participants to concisely and creatively communicate their topics and ideas. Many cities now host regular PechaKucha Nights, which are themed events that allow anyone to present using the PechaKucha format. These events are a great way for an individual to practice and enhance their presentation skills, as well as connect with their local community. PechaKucha is an innovative, inspiring way to present a message or an idea that encourages creative thinking and concise communication. Its simple but powerful format has allowed it to become a popular choice for presentations around the world.
