Passpoint Course
Passpoint courses are courses offered by the University of Bristol that provide certifications in the areas of networking, computer engineering, and information technology security. The courses are designed to give students an in depth understanding of the technologies involved in modern networks, along with the necessary skills to be effective in their future careers. The Passpoint curriculum consists of a series of modules dealing with topics including network security, computer networks, mobile and wireless networks, network infrastructure, cryptography, and more. Students will gain hands-on experience through self-directed learning and group activities, as well as through interactive lectures and labs. These modules cover the theoretical and practical information required by the University of Bristol’s professional certification programs, such as Network Security Professional (NSP), CompTIA Security+TM, and CISSP. Within the Passpoint courses, students learn about the development of networks from legacy to modern wireless and mobile networks. The courses also provide a comprehensive understanding of the different types of security measures required for such networks, and how to design, build, and manage network architectures. The Passpoint course is an excellent way for students to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to become successful professionals in the field of information technology and security. Courses are available at the undergraduate and graduate levels, allowing students to decide the appropriate level for their needs. Upon successful completion of the course, the student should obtain the professional certification or designation relevant to the course, such as Network Security Professional (NSP), CompTIA Security+TM, and CISSP.
