Parvatasana Steps Courses


Parvatasana (Mountain Pose) is an invigorating standing pose that helps to strengthen and stretch the muscles of the entire body. This pose also helps to improve posture and balance. Instructions: 1. Stand with your feet together, with your hands at your sides. 2. Inhale deeply and as you exhale, slowly raise your hands above your head. Keep your elbows straight and your palms facing each other. 3. Firmly engage your thighs and press your feet into the ground. 4. Lengthen your spine and keep your gaze straight ahead. 5. Reach up with your arms, extending them as far as you can. 6. Relax your shoulders and keep your neck long and drawn back slightly. 7. Press your palms together in prayer position with your thumbs resting on your chin. 8. Hold this pose for up to five minutes while breathing deeply. 9. To release, slowly lower your arms back down to your sides. Benefits: The Parvatasana pose helps to strengthen and stretch your muscles, improve posture and balance, and relieve stress and anxiety. It is also said to improve digestion and energize the body.
