Parmesan Couscous Courses
Parmesan Couscous is a wonderfully flavorful side dish that adds a delightful kick to any meal. This simple dish consists of combining regular couscous with grated Parmesan cheese and herbs, such as basil or oregano. This allows the creamy, comforting Parmesan cheese to coat the couscous and give it a delightful richness. The result is a creamy, flavorful couscous side dish that pairs perfectly with flavorful meats, fish and vegetables. To get started, measure out 1 cup of couscous and bring it to a boil in 2 1/2 cups of salted water. Once the couscous is cooked, quickly stir in 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese and 2 tablespoons of your favorite herbs. Stir the cheese and herbs in until the Parmesan has melted and coated the couscous, then remove from heat and serve. Parmesan Couscous is an easy, delicious side dish that can easily be customized. Feel free to add a pinch of garlic powder, cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes to give your dish a little extra kick, or stir in some diced red peppers or mushrooms for more complexity.
