Pareditas Courses
Pareditas, or little walls, are a form of decorative and structural walling, often found in Mexico and Spanish-speaking countries. The walls are constructed from adobe, or sun-dried mud bricks, which are stacked and held together with mud or stucco. They are traditionally found around villages, haciendas and other rural and rural-style buildings. Pareditas are usually two to three feet high, although some may be as high as four feet, and may feature decorative elements such as intricate carvings and shapes. Pareditas are thought to be more than just aesthetically pleasing. They offer strength and protection, helping keep the heat within a structure and keeping intruders out. The walls also prevent dust, wind and other debris from entering the building. Because of this, they were once commonly found on farms, creating a secure and sheltered environment for livestock. Today, pareditas are becoming increasingly popular as a decorative element for gardens, pathways and interiors. Their rustic and natural beauty is often seen in courtyards, patios and exterior walls. They can brighten up any space, creating a sense of warmth and character. They also help define a space, and can bring a touch of traditional Mexican culture to any home.
