Parathormone Causes Courses
Parathormone Causes is a condition caused by the overproduction of parathormone (PTH) by the parathyroid glands. Parathormone is a hormone involved in the body's regulation of calcium and phosphorous levels. Most cases of Parathormone Causes are caused by a benign tumor of the parathyroid gland, called an adenoma. This is an abnormal growth of the parathyroid cells that results in excessive production of PTH, leading to too much calcium in the blood (hypercalcemia). In rare cases, Parathormone Causes can be caused by an overactive parathyroid gland, potentially due to an abnormal function, such as Graves’ disease. Parathormone Causes symptoms may vary depending on the person and the severity of their condition. Common symptoms of Parathormone Causes include: feeling rundown and fatigued, high blood pressure, kidney stones, weakness and muscle cramps, depression or confusion, joint or abdominal pain, and frequent urination. The individual may also have a swollen face and enlargement of their arms and legs, as a result of too much calcium circulating in the blood. Diagnosis of Parathormone Causes is made through a medical history and a physical exam, as well as testing of the PTH levels and calcium levels in the blood. Treatment for Parathormone Causes may vary, depending on the condition of the patient and the underlying cause for the condition. Patients may need to follow a restricted diet, and medications may be prescribed to control symptoms. Surgery may be necessary in cases where an adenoma is causing the condition. In some rare cases, radiation is used to shrink the tumor. Overall, Parathormone Causes can be a serious and potentially life-threatening condition, so it is important to seek prompt medical attention if you suspect that you may have this condition. With good management and treatment, Parathormone Causes can be kept in check and the patient can lead a normal and healthy life.
