Panguas Courses

Panguas are traditional colorful ribbons worn by people of the Andean region (including Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia). The brightly colored bands, called fajas, are typically fastened around the wearer’s waist or neck and represent a variety of symbols. Used for centuries by the female population of the Andean region, panguas are believed to have originated from ancient Incan beliefs and represent loyalty, honor and protection.
