Pa1 Pa2 Spraying Courses
PA1 and PA2 spraying courses are specialised training programs designed to equip pesticide applicators, landscapers, growers, and others in the agricultural sector with the knowledge and skills needed to safely and effectively use pesticides. The PA1 and PA2 qualifications cover the safe and effective application of a variety of pesticides, including granules, liquids, powders and pressurised aerosols. The PA1 course gives individuals the theoretical knowledge needed to assess and plan the application of pesticide including product choices, application methods and equipment, relevant legislation, and pesticide safety. The PA2 course covers practical hands-on skills as well as theory. This covers the safe and effective application of pesticides; handling equipment and understanding metres, calibrations and labels. The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) recommends taking the courses from an accredited trainer and completing the necessary theoretical and practical assessments before safely using any pesticides. Both courses, if successfully completed and passed, will vouch for the competence of an individual to apply a wide range of common pesticides safely and effectively.
