Okaerinasai Courses
"Okaerinasai" is a Japanese term commonly used to express gratitude and respect when greeting someone. It is generally translated as "welcome back," though in a more literal sense, it means "I accept you kindly." It is a formal expression used traditionally in Japan and is viewed as a sign of respect to those who are senior or of a higher social class. It can also be used to express gratitude for having a guest stay or visit. The term is often heard in Japan when visiting or returning home from a journey, and is an important part of Japanese culture. Thus, it is often incorporated into Japanese greetings, such as "Okaerinasai, tōsan" (welcome back father). While not often used in daily life, it is useful to know the term and its implications in order to better understand Japanese culture and respect its customs.
