Oglebay Palmer Course
Oglebay Palmer Course, located in West Virginia, is an 18-hole classic golf course designed by A.W. Tillinghast and constructed in 1916. It is situated in Oglebay Park, a 725 acre oasis of green, rolling terrain and scenic views of the Ohio River. The course is par 71 and offers a unique challenge of undulating greens and fairways, traditional bunkers, and picturesque waterways. This championship-style green requires precision accuracy, a well-crafted strategy and a good short game. This year Oglebay is hosting several tournaments and special events, including the 2020 USGA Amateur Four-Ball Championship and the US Kids Golf Tour. The Palmer Course provides a player-friendly atmosphere, along with a practice range, full-service Pro Shop, locker rooms and a grill. The course also features a historic main clubhouse and several additional buildings – all with the same antiquated charm.
