How To See Previous Courses On Canvas

If you've taken a course on the Canvas Learning Management System and want to look back at its previous content, there are a few different ways you can go about it. First, if the course is currently being taught on Canvas, you can easily record and go back to the course content. All current courses can be accessed by clicking on the "Courses" tab on the left side of the Canvas homepage. To view previous courses, simply use the search bar to find the course by its title. After clicking on the course title, all of the content that was there when the course ended can be seen. Second, archived courses can still be found on Canvas. To view archived courses, you'll need to go to the Canvas Archive page which can be found in Canvas's left-hand menu. After clicking on this tab, a window will open with a list of all the archive-type offerings. Courses are listed in descending order, so the most recent ones would be at the top. To view content from archive courses, click on the course title and the original course content should be shown. Lastly, if you do not see the course you are looking for in either the current course list or the archives, then it is likely that the course has been deleted. Unfortunately, this means the course materials are no longer available on Canvas.
