Eat To Perform Coaches Course
Eating to Perform Coaches Course is designed to equip health and fitness professionals with the tools required to properly coach nutrition for performance. The course provides hands-on experience in a classroom setting, allowing coaches to practice and understand proper nutrition and eating habits in order to facilitate performance in athletes or clients. The Eating to Perform Coaches Course is composed of five modules. The first module covers the basics of nutrition for performance including macronutrients, energy balance, and water balance. The second module focuses on periodization, meal planning, and implement nutrition recommendations. The third module focuses on eating disorders and the importance of incorporating psychological and behavioral components into nutrition coaching. The fourth module looks at supplement use and its impact on performance, while the fifth and final module focuses on putting everything together, learning to create individual plans, and integrating nutrition into training and lifestyle. Throughout the course, coaches will gain a strong understanding of concepts related to nutrition and performance, such as calorimetry, digestion, and how to determine an athlete’s needs in terms of nutrition. The course is designed to build upon each module's content, leading to increased understanding of how to properly fuel performance. By completion of the Eating to Perform Course, coaches are expected to be proficient in integrating nutrition principles into their practice. They will be familiar with nutritional coaching and guidance that is specific to individuals and their fitness or sports goals. In addition, they will learn to competently assess, plan, and monitor nutritional status for both athletes and clients in order to achieve desired results.
