The 44th Chess Olympiad, organised by the Fédération Internationale des Échecs (FIDE) and comprising open and women's tournaments, as well as several events designed to promote the game of chess, is being held in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India from 28 July to 10 August 2022. A record number of 187 countries are taking part in the Olympiad this year. That is 2000+ players enjoying the hospitality of India and fighting for the prestigious medals.


Once you buy this course, you are signing up for a journey - a journey that takes you through beautiful moments from every round. You will enjoy every position and every game. Not only that, you will see patterns that can help develop your game.


In the first section, you will understand the format and rules of the Olympiad. What is the significance of the event? How are teams paired? How is the point system? All these questions, and more, will be explained in detail. You will also see the different Indian teams taking part in the event. As host nation, we are entitled to enrol 3 teams each in Open section and in the Women section.


Each of the following sections has major moments, critical games and standings from each of the rounds. The Olympiad is still going on as I write this. After every round, you can see a new Chapter added to this course.
