Learners will get a strong base of epidemiologic principles, understand the spread of disease, understand what epidemiology truly is, understand the basis of public health science, and use their knowledge to analyze disease outbreak scenarios. Most importantly, there is a section dedicated to the actual investigation of a disease outbreak, following the CDC-Mandated 13 Step process. Each lecture provides you with examples, along with external resources and quizzes in order to solidify your engagement to the course.
