Pharmacy Technician Practice Exams for NHA Created in 2022
Three pharmacy technician practice exams were prepared by a PharmD Instructor and six PharmD Students and Pharmacy Technicians who are affiliated with the University of Colorado Anschultz Medical Campus Skaggs School of Pharmacy. The PharmD instructor has broad experience creating and/or reviewing curricula for pharmacy students and pharmacy technician students enrolled at Penn Foster College and Pima Medical Institute. Three of the Pharmacy Students and Pharmacy Technicians passed the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) exam in April 2022. Three of the other Pharmacy Students and Pharmacy Technicians passed the CPhT exam administered by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). If you are planning to take the PTCB exam, please check our other practice exams course titled Pharmacy Technician Practice Exams for PTCB Created in 2022. CLEAR AND ERROR-FREE QUESTIONS - Each item has a reference link that can validate the answer, but you can also post in the QA section so we can discuss any confusing topics.
QUALIFIED STAFF – all questions were prepared by PharmD and PharmD students / Pharmacy Technicians from the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy who have passed the NHA exam as recently as April 2022.
CURATED DESIGN - these practice exams are designed to focus on important exam topics. The number of questions on each topic is carefully selected based on the outline provided by NHA.
UP TO DATE - The content of these practice tests will be regularly updated to any new NHA exam versions.
HIGH QUALITY – many other practice tests in the market contain technical and grammatical errors in the questions and do not back their questions with qualified resources.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Using these practice tests alone does not guarantee you will pass the NHA exam, but provides a comprehensive assessment of which knowledge areas you need improvements in and can help you achieve a higher score.
It is encouraged to repeatedly take these practice exams until consistently achieving a score of 90% or higher on each exam before attempting the actual NHA exam.
We gave a considerable amount of effort to creating and publishing these practice tests, including the laborious task of checking each item for any errors. We are confident that this will significantly help you pass your NHA exam.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
1. What are the requirements to take the NHA exam?
Candidates must meet eligibility criteria to take the NHA exam. This could involve completing an NHA-Recognized Education / Training Program OR equivalent work experience, as demonstrated by these two pathways:
Pathway 1: A NHA-Recognized Education / Training Program (or completion within 60 days).
Pathway 2: Minimum of 500 hours of equivalent work experience as a pharmacy technician. This alternative secondary path serves experienced technicians who were not in a position to attend an NHA-recognized program. NHA accepts work experience across pharmacy practice settings that pertain to certain knowledge requirements.
2. How do I schedule the NHA exam?
You can apply on the NHA official website.
3. Why take these practice tests to prepare to become an NHA-certified pharmacy technician?
A career as a pharmacy technician is a stable one with ample employment opportunities and increasing demand. Pharmacy technicians work in pharmacies, including those found in drug stores, general merchandise, grocery stores, and hospitals. There are options to work both full and part-time. The job outlook for pharmacy technicians is bright with an above-average growth rate.
However, before you become certified as a pharmacy technician, you are required to pass the national NHA exam. It is possible to complete a study program or have met the prerequisite experience hours and still fail the NHA exam. This is where our practice exams come in. These practice tests simulate the actual NHA certification exam and ensure that you indeed understand the subject matter.
