Swedish time prepositions and time expressions
Swedish time prepositions and time expressions
Hej!
This course is for you who has been studying Swedish for a while and has at least an A2+ level. It deals with time prepositions and time expressions in Swedish. The prepositions are divided into 5 groups, each group related to specific questions, such as:
When? (past tense)
När? (dåtid)
When? (future tense)
När? (framtid)
eg. Jag var i Göteborg för 5 månader sedan.
How long?
Hur länge?
eg. Jag har bott i Stockholm i 4 år. Patrik har inte sett sina föräldrar på 6 månader.
How fast?
Hur snabbt?
eg. Erik springer 5km på 30 min.
How often?
Hur ofta?
eg. Han springer två gånger i veckan. Bussen går 2 gånger om dygnet.
We will also see the difference between sentences like:
Han har läst svenska i 4 månader vs Han har läst svenska på 4 månader, both grammatically correct, but with a completely different meaning.
Also, why we say om året but i månaden?
The time expressions section includes the differences between, e.g.
i sommar vs i somras vs på sommaren vs till sommar
Also, in this chapter you'll learn what is a very big difference between sista and förra?
And many other interesting thing, such as, when do we use sist, i fjol, i julas etc.
All of this followed by some pronunciation tips that will make you sound like a native Swede!
You'll also have at your disposal additional materials and I'll be more than happy to answer any of your questions or doubts via e-mail.
Looking forward to seeing you in this course!
Varmt välkommen!
