Atomic Structure and Radiation
Atomic Structure and Radiation
This course serves as an overview of atomic structure, what isotopes are, how to find the mass number and atomic number of each element and how these lead to radiation being emitted in a variety of ways, how the radiation of a source is calculated and the issues that may occur if exposed to the various different sources.
It can be used to develop a basic understanding of how the atoms are structured and the work that went into the discovery, development and research to have the structure of the atom that we have now or as a tool to deepen knowledge that has already began to develop by stretching the mind and developing links with other aspects of science and medicine.
This course will broaden your thinking of atoms, radiation and how we are exposed to and use radiation everyday without thinking about it from; radioactive tracers in medicine to smoke alarms in our houses keeping us safe.
There is something for everyone in this course. All you have to do is keep your mind open, sharp and ready to be filled with all the knowledge required to gain the information this course provides.
I hope you enjoy learning this as much as I did making it.
