I love the ease and simplicity of painting in gouache, and in this course I want to share some of what I have learned about this medium with you. I want you to be inspired about painting in gouache, because I think you will love it! I will show you the advantages that it has over watercolors and the ways it can be used to create amazing pictures.

Each of the 10 lessons has a painting project in it, and you can watch me painting a small gouache picture in real time over a 15-20 minute period. You will see every brushstroke, along with my mixing palette, and I'll explain what is happening as we go along. If you like you can paint along with me (you can pause the video whenever you need to), or watch the video first and then paint later.  I also provide the original photo and the finished painting for you to download to use as a reference.
There is also a Bonus video showing you my outdoor sketching kit and giving you the plans to make your own sketching box.
