This course has been written by a group of experts with 70+ years of combined experience in the security industry. They are Francois Marais, Hayley Makhanya, and Howard Griffiths from SSC Legacy.

In our Personal Safety & Security course, we will look at specific risks and threats that we are faced with in the South African context, situational awareness, principles of survival, and those principles in action.

This course is recommended for tourists visiting South Africa.

While there are innumerable amounts of threats that we face on a daily basis, it is imperative to establish an understanding of some of the more relevant ones within our own context. The following list is not exhaustive but establishes some of the main risks we need to be aware of:
