虎鶴雙形: Tiger Crane Double Shadow, part 1

虎鶴雙形: Tiger Crane Double Shadow, part 1

The Tiger Crane Double Shadow form is famous throughout the Chinese martial art world and beyond. It stands as a historical monument to the devotion of Great Grandmaster Wong Fei Hung’s ability and genius to preserve and perpetuate the teachings of the great Southern Shaolin masters of yesteryear. Although the Tiger and Crane techniques have always been a part of the Hung style’s curriculum, Great Grandmaster Wong Fei Hung and his student Great Grandmaster Lam Sai Wing codified them into a clearer context that could be taught in singular format. The Fu Hok Serng Ying embodies the true nature of the Hung System and is deeper in breath and scope of knowledge than many stylists can outwardly see. Even though the Tiger Crane Form itself is one of the most standardized of Hung System forms from the three books that were published by Grandmaster Lam Sai Wing, there are still many variations depending on the branches that teach it. This course focuses on the first part of the form, and Master Koh teaches in depth how to execute each technique with explanation and demonstration and explanation of each movement in the form. Both stances and hand techniques are equally focused on. Please join me for this one-on-one tutorial on the finer points and details of the Tiger Crane form.
