PNF Approach - Clinical Applications with Damian Kapturski
PNF Approach - Clinical Applications with Damian Kapturski
PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) is a widely used treatment approach. It was developed by Dr Herman Kabat and Maggie Knott in the late 1940s and early 1950s as a means of rehabilitation for neurological disorders. By definition, PNF is a motor learning approach used in neuromotor development training to improve motor function and facilitate optimal patient's function.
"The basis of the PNF philosophy is the idea that all human beings, including those with disabilities have untapped existing potential" (Kabat, 1951).
